The SolarEdge P850 power optimizer was specifically developed for ground mounting and rooftop systems. With an input power of 850Wp, it is possible to connect 2 PV modules (bifacial) with each high Wp from 425Wp to 475Wp (12Isc / 125Voc). A total of 17,950Wp can be connected in one string. This creates more power per string and greater design flexibility.
Combination of optimizers
SolarEdge power optimizers were specifically developed to work with SolarEdge inverters. Together they generate the maximum achievable energy yield. By using the P850 optimizer, a total of 25% more energy yield is achieved. The P850 was developed for three-phase inverters with a 277V / 480V power grid.
Monitoring
The P850 power optimizer makes the PV system smarter. Panel-level monitoring and voltage switching provides the user with a clear view of the PV system data. Voltage switching at the control panel level makes the maintenance and installation of the optimizers even safer. This makes the P850 an ideal choice for the PV system. The photovoltaic system data is sent to the SolarEdge Monitoring platform. Here we review performance analysis, error detection, and possible updates.
SolarEdge power optimizers are now suitable for any type of PV module. The minimum approved spacing includes 0 mm on the back, 12.5 mm on the front, and 10 mm on the other sides.
